Yep, still have it. It's still the daily driver. The picture is only out of date in that it has a 3.4 now, a few small dents from grazing an elk (the major damage is mostly fixed), solid white letter tires instead of the outline letters, a formula hood, and the clearcoat is going.

There's a butt-load of things going wrong with it though too. I want a 99-02 firebird, but I've got cheapa$$ syndrome.

Currently it's the firebird,
96 chevy 2500 4x4 ext-cab long-bed,
66 nova (which is getting an engine and tranny swap sooner or later. I have a 307 and a Saginaw 4spd to put in)
75 Dodge 100 shortbed 4x4 (getting a step-side bed if I ever find one, and a camo paintjob with some flat black racing stripes)
62 GMC 1-ton 2wd (might just sell it someday. Not sure what I really want it for, although a friend of mine talked about mounting a jet engine on the back)

Suzuki 04 z-400 quad and a Suzuki DR200 bike if I count the off road stuff.

Excellent bimmer! And yeah, I like the cleaner interior without all of that extra crap.

Of course, since you have the new one you really don't need the E30 anymore. I'll be down shortly to collect it so that it doesn't take up any unecessary space.

To be perfectly honest, I have been considering selling it.

I have a few items to fix first (tune up, adjust valve lash, a/c clutch needs to be reshimmed, couple peeling spots in paint, shifter bushings, and the fog lights that I have put off replacing for 8 years...). I'm picky about who I would sell it to though...the car is too nice of a survivor to be stripped and put on a race track.

I bet you won't find another that still has the break-in schedule sticker on the windshield.

Eh, I can't afford to pick up another car right now but if I could I would love to give it a good home!

You tempt me sir. I take it you have a manual tranny based on your description of what needs to be fixed? And I'm guessing it's a 6-cylinder.

I had an old 1975 E21 316 with a 4spd in 'mint-gruen'. I need to find my picture of it.

It's my fourth mower in as many years...I started with a push mower and upgraded every season!
I've got about 3 acres, and not much lawn, but it's still a chore. Luckily there's no HOA, so I don't get nasty-grams about it. It's in bad shape and needs replanting, along with elimination of some moles.

I was gone recently for 2 weeks (hadn't mowed for a few weeks prior to that either), and the whole place was pretty over-grown when I got back. I'm taking advantage of it though, and have been getting some shots with my new HD camcorder of the 'post-apocalypse' look for a zombie movie opening credit/title sequence.

I would have risked injury by 2.5"+ ice chunks, if only I had any place to move it under cover. Insurance is looking at it Friday. Probably 3K+. It will have to be resprayed.

oddly enough, my e30 has suffered hail damage in the past. Fortunately it was only bad enough to crack the mirrors, not dimple the sheet metal.

Well it also dented my grill which is thick 404 stainless, and knocked a hole in the seat of a plastic deck chair. Beat the hell out of my neighbor's 80's camaro and s-10, too.

Insurance looked at it Friday, preliminary estimate is $4880, but the guy said that if the body shop thinks it will be easier to just replace the roof panel, they will cover that as well (or any additional cost the body shop incurs).

Got the car back a couple Fridays ago. Paint looks great. Hood, roof, trunk, and front driver's side fender are new sheet metal. The car had several pre-existing paint chips and all of them got fixed in this deal.

Unfortunately the radio reception is now shit (I guess the shop either damaged or left the antenna unhooked) and last Friday the CEL came on, O2 heater circuit. And I think the fuel gauge is acting up again (it already stayed in the shop for an entire solid WEEK to fix it). Looks like I'll be calling the dealer on Monday.

I think I've put as many miles on their loaner cars as I have my own at this point. =/
