Thanks Geoff, that tip might get it on the road in time. Now I have to see if one of my welding friends can get the wideband in my exhaust so I can run some actual boost... Any bets on whether or not I get a noise ordinance violation that night?

Well, It doesn't look much different (except for a rear bumper) but this shitbox has had some work done.

- The electricals are freshened up (grounding kit, power distribution block, and many cleaned up connections).
- The vacuum lines are all replaced.
- The shocks, struts, springs, brake lines, and fluids are all new.
- Power steering pump and lines are installed.
- Relocated battery is now mounted in a box with a cutoff.
- 3" from downpipe to exhaust tip (The tone is fucking DEEP).
- BOV and 5th injector setup removed.
- Stock wastegate solenoid is back (removed cheap MBC).
- Window wiper motor and arms are back.
- A/C condenser and lines removed. Heater box gutted and modded for simplicity.
- Port matched intake to big throttle body.
- Replaced some speedo sensor and cable

All in all I put about $1500 into the $1000 car and now it is solid and road legal... or close enough anyway.

Another week or two and I'll have the paperwork done, some good tires on it, and have it out of the garage. Then I'll grab some video.

Don't plan it just yet, but yes. We'll hit the ritz when it's on the road.

Spent another weekend on it and found at least 5 more wiring issues (grounds on this car were TERRIBLE). I still have 1 tailight ground to fix, TPS wiring to double check, and a TPS sensor to install. I'll work on that tonight. My brother will take the car to the dealership Tuesday to mount the tires, align it, and inspect it.

THE END IS NEAR! ... er... the beginning is near... or something.

Still battling issues. Found the coolant temp sensor was bad. Car was stuck in open loop and running stupid rich. Now that the sensor finally sends it into closed loop the computer is starting to adapt to the +20% injectors I have in it. Idle is still too high (1300rpm) and I'm having a cutout at high rpm under wide open throttle. I'll be checking the barometric solenoid, MAP sensor, and cam timing to see if I can fix it.

Other than that I just need to grab a speedometer from the yard. My needle's return spring was all kinds of twisted up... wonder why.

The car could use some better seats too. The reclining mechanisms are stuck in some pretty uncomfortable positions.

Michelin X-ice and an alignment ...

What's this? Another tear-down?

Pistons that aren't round? Now that's a little odd.

WHAT THE FUCK!?

I think it's safe to say I have a fueling problem in #4.

Meh. two weeks and $500 and it'll be good as new.

Well, actually better. I have some forged 2.2 pistons laying around.
