Actually, you can't chip this car.

What you can do, though, is this...

http://siteground207.com/~protegeg/p...oducts_id=1508

Plugs right into the OBDII port and makes the car fully tuneable. MANY MANY different maps for it including an improved one for a stock vehicle. That's probably going to be my next purchase. If I need to take the car in, I just plug this in and remap the computer to the OEM specs.

Cool. That's what I meant by "chipping" anyway. Reflashing is much better than sending the ECU off to have a new chip soldered on. They make mention of they network of tuners--is there one near you?

I know there's one down in Dallas but I'm probably going to wait until I get back to WA to get it fully tuned. Not sure of any up there. I'll have to ask around.

Just got my motor mount installed. Bit of an increase in vibrations but it DEFINITELY took the slop out of shifting this thing. Has a bit more pep now too since I'm getting a little more power down to the wheels rather than being lost in my engine twisting back and forth. Definitely a nice modification

Wow. I got it in the mail today. That was fast. I updated it, hooked it up, saved my stock tune, and then remapped the ECU. Holy shit this bitch hauls now. The program says it'll add about 25hp minimum to a stock vehicle (which mine is, basically) and about 46lb/ft or so.

So that'll put me right around the 270-280hp/290-310lb/ft to the wheels. Not bad!

Very quick service. Less than 10% drivetrain loss, though?

Yeah, they say it puts down around 240 to the wheels or so.

Oh, I got my intake put on after I FINALLY got it in the mail today. It sat in a damn mail distribution center somewhere for about a week. It was postmarked the 17th

Anyways, it's on. I love the way this thing sounds now. Definitely has a growl to it the sound of the turbo spooling up is INCREDIBLY loud along with the bypass valve whenever I let off. I love it! I also remapped my computer to Stage 1+ which definitely added more power to this thing.

I'll try and get some pictures of everything when I get a chance!

Bit of an update....I'll probably be ordering a test pipe and my short shifter tomorrow. $300 total. Throwing the test pipe on my car should see a significant improvement. That'll be nice .

Also, I've decided to go ahead and do the full turbo back exhaust. The catback I'm getting is made by Corksport and I will probably be ordering the downpipe from them as well. Those will be ordered once I get back to Washington and I get settled into a place to live since I'm homeless right now...

Vid of what the exhaust'll sound like...

YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

After these are done, I'll probably get my strut tower braces and sway bars installed. I don't really want to mess with the ride height on this thing because I really like the stance I have right now. I just wish I could lose the squat this thing has when I accelerate hard.
