There is an exotic and muscle car dealer here in town that has a completely restored '78 Cougar for $6,000.

If only I didn't have kids...

Yeah, I'd drive that. Not sure as a daily though (probably drinks gas). Digging the lettered tires, but not sure on the wheels.

Oh hell no it couldn't be a DD. I gave up a Silverado because it only got 18mpg and I drive about 80 miles a day now. I bet that Cougar has the 400, and gets about 13mpg.

I agree on the wheels. His post says they are the original wheels, but those look like some American Racing rims someone would have put on an S-10 in the 90's.

Aside from the wheels, that thing is feckin' gorgeous. People think I'm weird for loving '70s automotive aesthetics, but I can't help it.
