I want to like the Marauder, I really do... but I seriously can't stand the blingy OEM wheels they put on those poor cars.

Slap some more subtle 17" wheels (the stockers are 18") on one, though, and...

If you can find one, a Marauder would fit your needs perfectly. It has a stiffer suspension than a regular Vic or Marquis though.

As for Vics, they haven't made the LX for a few years, and they seem hard to find these days- at least around here. So if you went that route you'd have to buy older or buy a newer fleet model, which aren't that nice inside.

A Grand Marquis would be a nice car, and they do make supercharger kits for Vics and Marquis. I'm just not in love with the Marquis exterior styling.

The GTO and G8 are damned nice cars (even the G6 is nice).

How about instead of RWD only you could look at something offbeat like a Volvo V70R? Turbo 5 cylinder pushing over 200 hp with AWD and a manual trans, also they can be made to sound like a viper.

I don't think a Volvo would be terribly "off beat" for div... IIRC, he's already had a handful of Volvos... 850s, I believe.

Charger (3.5 SXT or Hemi RT, avoid the underpowered 2.7 V6) or Chrysler 300 Limited or 300C, again, avoid the 2.7 base model. Magnum if you like wagons. (Mags tend to go cheaper than Chargers & 300's.)

I have one: 72,000 miles, absolutely stone reliable, about 20-23MPG, best tank over 25, worst, throwing out a tank with a half-dozen 1/4 mile drag passes, was just under 19 (lots of Boston driving in 100-degree weather & almost an hour of idling to run A/C). Total work mine has needed in 72K: one brake job (front & rear pads, front rotors), wheel finish flaking & replaced all 4 under warranty, rear defroster feeding into the stereo got the rear glass replaced under warranty. Funky wind whistle fixed by the dealer adjusting the driver's window (out of warranty but no charge). That's it.

It's nowhere near as roomy as a Roadmaster (mine replaced a 1995 Caprice wagon), but the Mag has plenty of room. The Charger & 300 have large trunks, though somewhat small openings.

Figure on dropping about $600 on a set of four snow tires living in Michigan. I run Firestone Winterforces in the stock size (225/60R18). V6 cars have 215/65R17's (18's optional). 17" wheels will NOT fit on an R/T.
